The Art of Bob Stack

Bob Stack

Like a lot of people, I have drawn and painted since childhood and fortunately I have not lost the love of drawing and painting.

I photograph all of my paintings when completed and I scan some of these photo's into my computer and print greeting cards, book marks, Fridge magnets and small prints.

I like to call my paintings 'happy paintings' they are very colourful and usually feature people and dogs, cats, houses, boats.

I like to tell a story when I paint, just like writing a book, sometimes I have only a n inkling of what I am to paint, maybe a winding road and a house catches my eye and I start to draw it and as I draw the story develops I may add some people or some cars, maybe more houses, shops, etc.

I get a lot of inspiration for painting from sketches of fishing boats in Fig Tree Creek at Yeppoon and scenes of places I visited overseas.
