In
my paintings I employ mixed media using acrylic paint, water
colour paint, printing inks, pastel and collage but pastels are
the love of my life. I
am not afraid of using colour.
Sometimes
I work on a theme and explore that in various ways.
In 1993 I became forever hooked on needlepoint tapestry after
buying a book of Kaffe Fassett’s, “Glorious Needlepoint”.
I immediately started transposing my paintings or parts of
paintings or images into designs for needlepoint tapestry.
I like the idea that tapestry can be functional as well as
decorative and that the subject can really be anything at all.
